The size in the product description states "Product Dimensions: 21 x 12 x 11.5 inches" but the actual size is much, much smaller. Closed, the box measures 14 x 8.75 x 1.5 inches. This is considerably smaller than the given size. The box is divided into five sections, each measuring about 13.5 x 1.5 inches. Therefore, if you are attempting to store anything wider than an inch and a half, this box will be too small for you. For small items, this works great. The locking dividers are easy to install and are very secure, as is the storage box as a whole. I know the purpose of this box is for fishing tackle, but it will work well as a craft storage box. It may be worth noting, while very slight, there is a gap between the tops of the walls and the cover, so very tiny objects may be able to shift compartments if the box is overturned.
